Breaking News.........................

We have just had our Green Tourism Business Scheme inspection and are very proud to have been awarded with "Silver". We are really pleased and hope you notice all the things that we are doing to help keep our lovely environment special for us all to enjoy in the future. You can read our environmental policy on our website and follow the links to find out more about the Green Tourism Business Scheme from the "All things Green" page.

As if on cue and to help us celebrate, we have Blue Tits nesting in the box in the front garden for the first time, so we are enjoying watching the activity as Mum & Dad feed their babies.

We are one of the first B&Bs in St. Ives to be awarded under the scheme so we are very pleased.

Take a day trip to the Isles of Scilly

We were lucky enough to have a day trip to Tresco on the Isles of Scilly recently. We took the helicopter from Penzance and spent a lovely day exploring the Island. The gardens were breathtaking and full of colour, a real gardeners paradise. Well worth a visit.

The Beaches were heavenly, the only footsteps were ours. We really recommend a trip if you want a day to remember. Here are some links for further information http://www.tresco.co.uk/ and http://www.islesofdcillyhelicopter.com/

Happy Easter!

This picture was taken of one of the fields of gold near Carn Brea earlier this month and really helps us remember that Spring is just around the corner.

Spring is in the air

Today has been the most glorious day here in Cornwall. It has really felt like spring with the daffodiles out and the camelias in full bloom.

For those of you thinking of your holidays we are starting to receive enquiries for the summer season, so if you have particular dates in mind, do not leave it too late to ring.

Storm - a very important dog!

We were reviewing our website recently and realised that a very important member of our team was missing, our golden retriever Storm. He is 3 years old in February. As you can see he is very handsome. He loves welcoming our guests and especially enjoys long walks on the beautiful beaches in Cornwall.
